I had thought about the phone call idea while packing my survival tin. I suggest you replace it with a dollar bill. You need AT LEAST that much to make a few phone calls, or a phone call that would last a few minutes. Plus, you can use it as ememrgency tinder, thus replaceing most of the cotton as well.

take out the knife and keep it in your pocket. put in some matches. when you find yourself in a survival situation, then is not the time to prove you can light a fire with a magnesium striker. take out the band aids and put in some duct tape wrapped around a piece of cardboard. to make a band aid just cut a bit of your shirt and put it over your cut and then put a strip of tape over it. put in more money for a phone call.

u should have just sandpapered the altoids printing on it so if u have to cook in it u wont get melted paint in the food or soup or whatever ur cooking and instead of having a magnesium flin pack a lighter and get more matches then waterproof them by dipping the heads in wax
