In the beginning of the year 2006, a Finnish band Shiver, was searching for a vocalist. Shiver sent one of their songs to each of those who applied, so they could make their own intrepretations of the lyrics and the vocal melody.
Rick Altzi was one of the candidates. He went through this procedure like everyone else, but was not chosen for the job. The song was called Shiver even before the search for a vocalist began.
Now, Rick is the vocalist of a German band At Vance and they released a new album this year. On that alb
um you can find a song called "Shiver", which is surprisingly similar to Shiver's original song composed back in the year 2005. One must notice that Rick Altzi and the composer of At Vance, Olaf Lenk, only owns the rights to Rick's lyrics and vocal melody, not to the whole song composed by Shiver.
You can compare these two songs in this clip which includes parts of the Shiver-version with Rick Altzi on vocals made in the beginning of 2006 and the At Vance -- version released in 2007.

If you must do it, at least copy something good! The music sucks in both versions.
ían de agradecer la promocion que le hizo at vance xD. Por cierto si de robos se trata escuchen a Rusty Cooley con Under The Influence Y luego escuchen Only Human de At vance y ahi me platican = ) Saludos
Then you´ll see how embarrassing it is for the Shiver guys!!! Just take this crap away!!
Hell it is embarrassing to hear this song raped by the band Shiver [even if it was originally their song]. This shows how bad they are if another band comes along takes this average sounding song, then polishes it and rubs off the rough edges and then makes it a masterpiece.
Are you fucking out of your mind? I just read your comment on the Shiver VS At Vance dispute, and I can't belive it. To make it clearer to you: the band uploaded the video to show that At Vance/Rick Altzi stole a major part of their song, they did not upload it to have it compared quality-wise, c
ause that's a subjective judgement. ***** No, but you are out of your tiny little mind, if you even think for one second that other people have to agree with you.
