actually, europeans can be blamed for all the worst atrocoties on the planet, but they would not have been able to do any of it if it werent for mongols. for gunpowder was sold to the europeans by kublai khan. which is pretty much the only reason that europe was able to sucessfully conquer the world and do all the terrible things that they did.

I have my own theory about world history, I believe that Mongol retreat at Ogedei's death in 1241 saved Western Europe from annihilation and devastation, while the rest of the powers were subjugated. This let the communities evolve unfettered and eventually they were able to launch an invasion on the rest of the world. This has nothing to do with white or black.

If the Mongols finished what they set out to do then of course we would have a different world today. This was one of the fascinating magical moment of history and true pivotal point to understand why the world is the way it is today. Gun powder is important, but it was just one technology and it was available to many other people too. It was the spirit and cohesiveness of an undisturbed human community that let the West Europeans succeed.

i agree, the mongols had the fate in the world in their hands, had they sucessfully conquered europe, the world wouldnt be so eurocentric today probably. however by selling europeans chinese gunpowder is what really sealed the fate of the world, european military tactics at the time weren't exactly brilliant like the mongols, it was rather brutish and bludgeoning, however with gunpowder, they were able to conquer the new world, africa, asia etc. they couldn't have done it without gunpowder

It would have taken mongols less than one month to conquer the whole europe. All they had to do was to just ride into the europe because there was no defense against them When hungry,russia, poland, part of germany, part of austria, and other eastern europe were wiped out by mongols, western europe was ready to surrender. had not civil war called back mongols to their land, europe would be very different today.
