This does bring back very good memories. I saw Strawbs 3 times, each time was fantastic. Yes, they were very progressive. At the time we saw them, my friends and I were into Gentle Giant, Yes, Renaissance, Genesis (with Peter), Manfred Mann, and of course King Crimson. These bands kicked ass then and their music is timeless now.

I have this dream that I could put together a trip to the London olympics and see a bunch of my classic rock favorites while I was there. Don't forget Procol Harum.

The best version of ... ( 8 months ago by FrankieELP)
The best version of this song was done by a local band in the mid 1970's by the name of Harlequin. They played NY in places like the Rising Sun in Yonkers, the Glen Island Casino in New Rochelle and places on Long Island. When I saw The Strawbs, I was a little disappointed since the Harlequin version was so much better. It was like listening to Rat Race Choir do Led Zep better than Zep. They also did a fantastic version of The Musical Box by Genesis. Does anyone know what happened to Harlequin?
