This is great to see. I used to see them in Zappa's way back.... While I realize this is not the My Father's Place recording, does anyone know where a copy of that show can be found?

I have the My Fathers Place show On DVD.The footage is about a 7 out of 10.I have another copy of the show that is about a 8 or 9(it also has the 2 tunes with Rhett Forrester too, but I can't get that version to copy.

I have no idea why Rock City isn't on everybody's Top 5 Debut albums ever, they got steadily worse but that album should have made them bigger than Iron Maiden for example. I was in a metal band at the time Rock City came out and about 2 percent of all the rock fans we came across had even heard of them, strange how that works...

What do you mean "they got steadily worse"? While I love Rock City (i have the original pressing on vinyl), they got steadily BETTER. Narita, Fire Down Under, Born In America, Thundersteel etc......Riot put out some of the greatest metal for a lot of years...Probably the most underappreciated metal band of all time...

Holy shit, this is awesome. I saw them open for Rush when they were touring behind Fire Down Under (and Rush was on their Moving Pictures tour). Great, under appreciated band!

What footage.Finally get to see Guy at work.Even though the mainstream does'nt have a clue about the existence of this Riot line-up & the throat of Speranza they missed the boat.Truly classic stuff here.Fire Down Under is on my top 10 Rock records of ALL Time.....Thats saying alot!

Amazing Footage! Might be recorded at ZAPPA's in Brooklyn. Riot could have been huge. I once asked Guy why he left the band and he told me he got married and his wife demanded he get a real job. So he was working in construction. Rhett was good, but they were never the same.

In 1998 they played at Wacken Open Air: best show on earth in a century. Everybody knows, at least those who were there... They're still around, now they sounds less interesting but still kick some ass on stage!

Does anyone knows what happened to Rick Ventura? I know he's not in this video but to me he's such a great musician and very much underated. It's been 28 years since I listened to Narita for the first time. All Riot records from Rock City to Restless Breed are among the all time greatest to me.
