Eheh, mate theyre ok, but I'm more into Number Girl. This vocalist is singing too smoothly to be anything more than kid's pop rock, for mainstream audiences who want to rock, but not to heavily. You dont need a degree to have an ear though.

Well what I was getting at is that it takes a lot of theory studies and instrument practice to be able to write and play music like the Band Apart. To write McFly songs, you don't really need to know anything about anything. McFly are bubblegum pop, TBA play more a rock-ified jazz style. You made it seem by your first post that it was the music (songwriting, arrangement, playing styles) that was similar, not just specifically the vocals.
