How can you people laugh at this? It's so sad what our world is coming to. I would give my own life to save all these people from leading this kind of life. It touches my heart. Life is so beautiful, but these people aren't living... they've been dead since they started these ways. :*(

Meth is a nasty drug but there isn't a meth epidemic. Stats from the DoJ and NIDA show that meth use has tapered off. Only about 600,000 people in the USA are habitual users. 0.002% of the US population are addicts, doesn't seem as spectacular as METH EPIDEMIC!!

you are incorrect. the only thing that has tapered off is the production of meth in the u.s. we started to control and monitor the sale of pseudoephedrine and that has slowed the production of meth here. all the while, mexico manufactures our meth now. it is produced in huge labs across the border, it is cheaper, and even more pure. do not underestimate the destruction this drug is doing. i see tweekers everyday. it just takes some people a little while longer to hit rock bottom.

This is pretty powerful. I think that a part of what gets you is how disheveled the people look in the "after" pictures. But then I got to thinking, an effect of this drug, like most drugs, is that it creates a situation where you allow your looks to go. Looks may be overwhlemingly socially constructed, but we correlate it to health for many reasons - and we don't want our looks to go. Good marketing here!

Actually if you look at actual meth use in the USA the legislation controlling pseudoephedrine came into place long after meth addiction and use peaked. So meth use actually peaked and subsequently fell years before it considered a problem by law enforcement and by the media.

what look like cig burns are scabs from picking their face.I used to be an ice freak and went so mad i shaved my head and was as skinny and wild looking as any of those people. i have a photo of me from that time stuck to the inside of my top cupboard, where i used to keep my fits to remind me how i'll end up and probably wont recover again
