Thing is, I used to like it. Then I listened to some Metallica that didn't totally suck, and I realized how much it did. I also liked it during my uber-emo phase, so that might've had something to do with it.

load and reload were very good albums. they were still in the vain of metal music, but more of heavy metal/hard rock style and delved deep into the blues element, that is the corner stone of all rock genres, including metal, you find those elements in old metallica in the 80s. only smart fans of metallica will appreciate this stuff, its good stuff.
