ive already returned my old gta 4 for a new one and it still freezes, rockstar better be figuring out a fix
Update: My xbox was a defected which caused the freezing issue and not the game

Give this a try, i had the same problem with gta4 on my xbox 360. I cleared the cache on the HDD and it appears to have fixed the problem for me. 1. Go to the System Blade, then select Memory. 2. Highlight the Hard Drive and press Y. 3. Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper,X, X. 4. Choose Yes to perform system maintenance. tell me how it went?

This could be rrod.... Or it could be your xbox cracked the inside of the disc.... Good luck with it. I know it's not rockstar. Microsoft fucked up 1/3 Xbox's so honestly.......Figure it.

this game works fine on my cousins xbox 360 and we played for hours. im getting a 360 elite in a week and i hope this dont happen to me lol

use a dvd laser lens cleaner it worked for me that fucking annoying noise went away and it allowed me to save my games again and it totally stopped the freezing too

I have an xbox360 elite (120GB hdd), falcon chipset. It does it on the original bought game disc. I have this problem in this video. 1. Tried the clear cache trick, didn't change a thing. 2. backed up the game, tried two different copied discs, didn't change a thing. 3. cleaned the lens with a lens cleaner. No difference.

4. swapped out my Benq drive for a samsung MS28, popup still bad, maybe improved very very slightly, but police blocks still disappear, and popup and slow loading textures are still a problem. (cost money, wasted) 5. now waiting for hard drive install feature.

I soo miss my xbox 360. the online is just awesome, people please never trade in your 360 for a ps3 you will really regret it lol unless you get loads
