that was performed well, but it was so damn slow XD my choir is doing this piece this year and it moves a lot faster, but then again, i guess it depends on the director.

For some reason our chorale is singing iut twice as fast. lol
Possibly cause he wants to get it over with. The entire choir ends up a quarter to a half step flat by the time the sopranos finish their running eigth note on "sacramentum". I love this song though.

This version is absolutely gorgeous. For our December concert, a select few people from our choir (including me) are doing this song. We are doing it twice as fast as well though, which I think takes away from the emotion.

Not to be picky, but whoever wrote this out forgot a natural sign in alto part on the major chord of "pio". It's a pretty important accidental. At 2:38. The choir is good except for some vowels in the sopranos and altos.

the original score that I used has a minor third. I checked another edition and it has a major third. So it may be a mistake or maybe a different edition, I dont know.

The chord is clearly major though. In the key, a major IV chord, the root is just tripled. And in the edition I have, there is a natural sign next to the alto D.

and the choir totally made "viderent domininum" at 1:39 a major chord..when it's an F minor chord. That's okay though. It was an in tune major chord!

no offense to the choir, but their altos are clearly sloppy- either that, or the director is sloppy in dealing with the altos. changing that chord at 1:39 from a minor to a major is absolutely unforgivable, in my opinion. if I noticed it offhand while doing a million other tasks at once, how could a choral director not take notice? oh,and at 2:38- you're right, singingsox, there should be a natural sign, but the altos do actually sing it correctly in the audio.

also, at 3:30, altos take off like a horse on fire. apparently dotted quarter notes cause the rhythm to derail for two measures. also, everyone's alleluia have pretty ugly vowels. i'm actually gonna pin this one on their director. very good pitch wise, nice resonance- clearly the director wasn't utilizing all their skills and generally being sloppy.

why is everyone giving someone who is critisising in a fair way so many thumbs down. Just because you like it, doesn't mean it's perfect, right? I completely agree on the vowels by the way.
