The strict imposition of the ban on the wearing of religious symbols in public schools continues in France and more and more girls from the Muslim community now take off their headscarves before entering the schools. However, the Sikh community is still resisting and trying hard to get a Sikh school to sidestep the law.

when you go to other country than you have to stick to the law...law is above religion...and in this modern age being religious will sideline you and you will be a social outcast

what's so democratic about france? the french government doesn't even allow you to wear a cross, turban, skullcap and wimples as part as one's religious practise. That's no democracy! It's not a matter of not obey the law of a nation, and that one religion dominating that nation just because the followers wear some religious symbols on them. It's simply just part of the basic human rights that should be observed - the UK does this.

well if you look at history; Sikhs played a vital role in both world wars fighting on the French side WITH THEIR TURBANS ON; so they should be able to enjoy France's freedom just as any other French citizen.
These new implications which France has sought, only goes to show its insecurities towards "others" which it doesn't understand due to its ignorance.

Sikhs are not forcibally converting anyone by wearing thier turbans, they are simpally living thier live the way they love to. You are keeping your religion on your head, and so will the Sikhs

people have the right to live life the way that we want to. what makes this sad is that whoever made the law obviously has no idea how it affects the minority. the law is pathetic. you dont ask christians to stop going to church. you dont ask muslims to eat pork. you do not ask vegetarians to eat meat. you do not ask sikhs to not wear turbans

the french are weak. don't trip. just as they have surrendered in every battle they have been in (except for napoleon) they will surrender this battle no doubt. its a shame that no other democratic country has this type of law and the french do. one day they will realize that they are just pompous assholes.

look i am a sikh and i think no one is aloud to take away our fate.. this french law is rong and it should be removed..u can believe in wat u want but dont be hating on someone who has diffrent beliefs..if u do the research u would know that the golden rule, which is the rule that is the same in all religions is: treat other the way u would like to be treated..thank you
