you have just blessed my night with this posting...Caron Wheeler is so beautiful. This cd (her first) is a classic. Such a conduit she is -still. She has another song called "Lite as a feather" that is truly beautiful. It is on her cd "Beach of the War Goddess". She is so brilliant.

Her Live in Japan (2004)DVD is good. Her version of Don't Quit on that DVD will perhaps be her signature live song 30 years from now. She nailed it vocally and emotionally. This woman, in my book, was the first true "neo-soul" artist. She was about 3 years ahead of her time. If she'd stayed with soul II soul until about 1992 and then went solo in 1994...she would have been the biggest thing in U.S R&B. Timing is everything in the biz.

Excellent! I have two of Caron Wheeler's solo albums. I hope she does another, because they were both great albums. "Blue is the Color of Pain", "I Need a Man" and "In Our Love" should have been mega-hits. But great singers who sing about substance often get over looked by the mass media!
