As a lesbian, I like seeing two women together. I also dislike it because I know it's mainly there to cash in on the larger numbers of turned on straight men, which for me is a complete turn off. If pop was really trying to represent the gay community then there would be more gay men being affectionate. So I completely agree with your original point, even though I'm peeved that you respect hetrosexuals enough to call them straight, but call lesbians 'lezzo's which is disrespectful.

Fair point, and apologies for the use of the world "lezzo". It's just that Australians tend to add an "o" on the end of everything to make it sound more informal. No disrespect was intended. We call ourselves "fags" all the time (ie, we went to "fag tag" last night) and arguably that could be disrespectful too in certain contexts.

Ah! If I had looked at your channel I would've seen where you're from and I wouldn't have mentioned the 'lezzo' thing! I just get my back up nowadays over the language people use cos of younger people constantly using the term 'that's so gay' to anything negative. Drives me mad. Occasional use I might look over but it's so constant. Oh, & I've never liked the term 'fag' although most gay men I know use it all the time, as you said!
