If he really did stab himself three times in the heart... he is more badass then anyone could imagine. After the first stab the pain would be unendurable and u would definatly not be able to do it again.

Alot of people have different opinions on the meaning of this song most of which are about heroin. I believe it is written about a young guy that was depressed until a suicide attempt. "Down the stairs to man whos going to make it all ok" "I cant be myself and I dont wanna talk" Psychiatrist reference, "Taking the cure, so I can be quiet wherever I want" Anti-depressants/psychotics. "Strung out and thin + calling some friend tryin to cash some check" This can be taken as drugs, or depression.

maybe only in this generation, but you guys were a huge influence in the last generation....i hate to be political, but i'd love to see america stand where it should....hopefully obama can do that....i think elliott was one of the most talented musicians i've ever heard....up there w/dylan...he has such a gift for lyrics and forces you to hear a specific point w/his melody....hopefully, his death can help people...as morbid as that sounds....that's the only way to look at it, i guess?
