always good to seen a classic bird even if this was from the days of old and you guys are correct its pretty rare to see a 747-1/2/3 but we all know there is some third world airline flying them on 200 mile flight lol loaded with passengers

He yanks the thrust back so its in the idle position. Don't forget he isnt looking at his hand so he wants no mistake the throttle is all the way back so he can engage the reverse thrust. When landing 600,000lbs of plane there's no prizes for being gentle. Get all that weight settled on the ground then get it slowed down

Qantas' 'crash' was a runway overun at Bangkok in a 747-400 (Longreach) - this did serious damage to the engines, landing gear (ripped off) and frame. No casualties, minor injuries. The aircraft was out of service for some time, repaired and in service still.
