They had a very good choice for AUTO's voice. It may sound scary, but that's how he supposed to sound like that as the movie's antagonist.

I'm very worried about the fate of the movie. It's on its way to becoming the least money-making of the Pixar's movies.
I wouldn't count on it but... watching WALL-E marks the first time I believe an animated movie deserves a win an oscar for Best Picture.

What made this movie so great was that it wasn't just about a lonely robot looking for love.
It was also about a driod's struggle between duty and her emotions, the man who wanted to live life, the devastation on the environment that could happen in the future, the emotionless robot who would follow orders even if it was wrong, and human-dependecy in the future. I wouldn't count on it bu

I agree, AUTO's voice was perfect - and not an actor! AUTO is an old Macintosh voice synthesiser program. Inspired casting!

Well I think that WALL.E looks like johnny 5 from short circuit films.
And AUTO is based, quite a bit on HAL9000 from 2001: a space odyssey. Still brilliantly done etc

I love to see a sequel to WALL-E
But they don't need the strech the story, it's already beautiful. I wouldn't count on it, but watching WALL-E marks the first time I believe an animated film deserves a win for Best Picture Oscar.
