I always thought it would be interesting if Sweeney Todd was filmed completely in black and white, save for the blood which would be the same shocking shade of red. It would make the scene of Mrs. Lovett's dream a little harder to depict since it thrives on the contrasting pastels and bright, deep blues, but I think it would definitely add a complex layer to the cinematography, as well as the over-all meaning to the story.
