I've been singing with bands for years and tried to get a record deal. That doesn't make me Linda Rondstadt. The guy has been plugging away, working hard, trying to get somewhere with his talent and he finally did. Stop with the trying to tear him down already. Geesh.

You're missing the entire point moron. Everybody who was on that show has used their talent and try to do something with it before. The whole purpose of the show was to expose that talent to the entire world.

Paul has NEVER hid that HE PAID to have some training, but HE'S NEVER BEEN PAID TO PERFORM EVER FOR ANYONE, he wishes, he said.He got
£30,000 GBP in debt to attempt to fulfil his dream+ he still got snubbed by opera societies. Go to myspace dotcom/paul_potts and have a look at all the blogs on their, have a look at the interviews he's done, this man stacked shelfs in tesco's not so long back and then sold phones, he deserves EVER
YTHING and he's made the world a better place for being in it.

What you SAY is "to all those who think he isn't a professional" and what we are saying is- he ISN'T a professional (or at least wasn't until he won). And that the so-called evidence you have posted is nothing of the kind. Would you be shocked to find out that some of the other contestants had had dancing lessons or guitar lessons? Perhaps we could forego assumptions about my hair colour and stick to the topic being discussed...or would that be too moronic and smartassed?

Selling car phones in a warehouse, I think, qualifies him as a non-professional opera singer. Yes he's
had lessons and made appeaances, maybe was even paid a stippend here and there and gotten some publicity; however, singing has never been his primary source of income or support. It is now and what a professional he has become.

i have seen the bath opera website and if you read it,it says AMATEUR opera he has had training which he had to pay for himself and he`s even paid to sing in front of pavarotti.may be you should pay for some training.training for research and how to do it properly
