Man Aretha Franklin is the legendary Queen of Soul, she was born amongst the greatest gospel singers who have ever lived, in the Golden Age of the gospel music; her father is the legendary C.L Franklin. And just in case you have not heard she is quite a gospel singer herself. All I'm saying is she has seen it all and done it all too, and she's not going to give fake praise if she doesn't feel it; there is enough of that in gospel already.

I prefer Yolanda vocally, but she only does church music. Aretha's songs are better, but sometimes her voice is TOO strong for me. However lol, to say you can't even compare them is pretty inaccurate, even as a matter of personal preference lol. Aretha's not my absolute favorite, but she's one of those artists that if they were voted the BEST for something, I wouldn't disagree.

why are people trying to compare yolanda and aretha? i'm sure aretha was an inspiration to yolanda and had to practice to make this performance an awsome performance to impress aretha. i'm sure she impressed aretha. She looked like she was enjoying the performance. But just out of curiosity...i wonder how tina turner would have sounded like singing this song back in the day when her voice was powerful.
