this is a cover of a Modest Mouse song. Sun kil Moon is uh, the Red House Painters. I think I would recommend the Painters stuff before I would recommend this album. and that's my review. this is my favorite song on it.
I wish I shot better footage instead of thinking that if I recorded while riding my bike would be cool...yeah, but no,
live and learn.

Why all the hate? All he's doing is taking amazing brilliant Modest Mouse songs and turning them into amazng brilliant folk-y style ballads. Not ruining, just changing. That said, for almost every song he's covered I prefer the MM version, but this is still plenty good enough to warrant getting the album.

If anything, I think Sun Kil Moon is a testament to the power of Isaac's lyrics . . . even if I prefer Modest Mouse, the words never lose their power to me.

SlothBetrayal, you're a waste of air. End of story. I could rant non-stop about how unbelievably pathetic you are but why bother, I'm sure your own mother has already let you know by now. Surprisingly good cover by the way. Isaac's lyrics fit perfectly with this mellow, folksy sound.

it sounds like G to A-Minor to C, that is how I play it...but who knows ...could be some strange tuning or variations of those chords...suspended this and sustained that...the finger picking at the end is even harder to figure...good luck...if you find any chord charts to this covers album pass 'em on would ya?

Much, much too quiet for this song. I have no problems with calm acoustic, but this song wasn't meant to be so... subdued. The original is way better.

I prefer this version. It is calmer and has a better flow. Overall, it (in my opinion) flows better.

Although this song could never touch MM's original, this is a soothing feel to brilliant lyrics and creativeness. I'm not opposed to bands covering Modest Mouse songs, just as long as they don't butcher the hell out of them, which is easy to do since the originals are so amazing. If you haven't heard it already, also check out so Iron Horse "Pickin' on Modest Mouse". That is also a good feel to some originals.
