A judge ruled Thursday that Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will no longer have to wear an electronic tether ordered as part of his bond in his perjury case and may travel to the Democratic National Convention in Denver, where he is a superdelegate. (Aug. 14)

WOW, I've never heard of a judge knowing a defendant's future travel plans and OFFERING UP the need for special travel considerations. Particularly after that defendant recently violated bond by traveling out of the country. And, to think, I used to be a Democrat.

The DNC just released a statement saying Kwame is "not welcome" at the convention. The situation with this guy (and the Dem governor/legislature) is so bad in Michigan they're saying it might tip the State for McCain.
Congressman Dingle has also called for Kwame to resign. When even your black supporters dump you, it's time to go Kwame.

FYI, the tether is back on now and he's not permitted to attend the DNC. This particular judge (visiting and retired) is a hot mess.
