well I don't think so... many DJs use CDs instead of vinyl; examples of DJs who use CDs are big names such as Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, G.Pal,... - Bob Sinclar himself states in another video that using CDs instead of vinyl can lead to the creation of more creative mixes.

Some DJ use CDJs, but the best use vinyl. All those idiots saying that CD's are the future... two letters, one number... MP3. Check out Rane's Serato Scratch Live - it uses two special vinyl that can be played on normal decks & can be manipulated just like normal but can play any sample, tune, beat etc you have on your computer.- thats the future. To be honest if your just playing one record after the other it doesn't matter what you use. May aswell use iTunes. Real DJing is much more.
