It's so sad but beautiful. I rarely watch it because it makes me cry. It deserved every award it got. G-d, I think I'm gonna cry now......

Me too. I've had problems watching this movie because I've always found it so overwhelmingly intense and incredibly sad also.
The first time I ever saw this beautiful film was in the movie theater back in 1983 - God that shows my age, lol! I was 15 back then and I had a painful lump in my throat while watching it. I wanted to cry so bad, I swear!
Still, in my humble opinion, Terms Of Endearment (1983) is without a doubt one of the best motion pictures ever released.

Everybody loved "Terms of Endearment" at the time of its release, but people nowadays dismiss it as one of Oscar's mistakes and say that "The Right Stuff" should have won.
