i have the special edition, just rented it and copied it! in the commentary, the director said that the script just read: henry follows the bartender out for the fight. Rourke made that all up where he hopped over the bar etc. Genius at work...
The French director Schrader (sic) also said how they weren't expecting that they'd have to clean up and pay for all those glasses, hehe.
