It was Big Bill Broonzy that first recorded this. Buddy gets close to the Delta sound of Big Bill when he plays, which is rare. BB King can't do that for example.

Not to get too deep, but this vid is proof that music transcends race. You might not expect a huge crowd of Swiss people to understand or appreciate such raw black American music, but they do. They may not identify with the African-American experiece, but they definitely understand the soul and emotion that they're hearing.

Man, I have been listening to a ton of Buddy Guy clips today to catch up on my blues. I have always known he is the best living guitarist, but listening today I was struck by what a great voice he has. Highlight of my life was to see Buddy play live in his club in Chicago, and to shake his hand as he came through the crowd in the middle of a song (he was playing with his left hand only for what seemed like 5 minutes without using his right hand, because he was shaking hands) AWESOME
