Tippi - Bridging the Gap to Africa
Tippi Degre, also known as "Tippi of Africa" has been living in France and Madagascar for the past 7 years. This is a documentary made last year on her returning to Africa, and bridging two completely different cultures, meeting old and new friends.

Saw Tippi on a documentary appearing to be a pretty disturbed person, unintegrated into the temporal world. A solitary childhood, plus fame in France did not make for a happy girl. I personally dislike children being "lab rats" for adult experiments. It almost always turns out badly as the children grow. Youngsters WANT to please their caregivers, but people pleasing can stymie personal happiness. Self actualization is a tricky thing for the average child, let alone one in the spotlight.

Typically dutch comment....always looking for the negative side of things!!! If you could understand what they say you would hear that she could be a link between europe and africa, help us understand africa.... for a young black kid from Africa it would be more difficult as there might be a culture gap...thats why the movie is called BRIDGING the gap to Africa!! So before you give your negative Telegraaf-style nagging comment try to listen well and appreciate this short movie instead!

This is amazing, very touching. It gives me the creeps to read that there are too many people out there that watch too much US TV. You have a higher chance getting shot at a 7-11 than getting eaten by a wild animal, as long as you respect their presence. I wish we were all a little more in touch with nature.
