Til Tuesday was a new wave band that formed in 1982 with lead singer Aimee Mann, Guitarist Robert Holmes, Keyboardist Joey Pesche, and drummer Michael Hausman. This song was on the 1985 album of the same name. They won the MTV award for best new artist of the year.

Back when music videos first came out, the artists would make a video around the song. After all, there has to be a 'concept' behind songs. Heck, I'd rather watch vids and give a psych report rather than having to read 'Moby Dick', etc., like I did in the 80's. Plus, these were coming out while I was in college, so we would 'discuss' them in psych and philosophy classes while the prof was getting ready. A bunch of 20-somethings vs. old fuddy-duddy profs. Cool!

Possibly my fave vid of all time. One of the great things about early vids like this one is in those days they would tell an interpretive story based on the lyric, usually featuring the band or singer as the main character. They don't make 'em like they used to!
