this video is quite lame, and represents a fakeleft viewpoint. No wonder it made it as a FPP on a fakeleft outfit like metafilter.
I can see that very little research or original thought went into this. Just more fakeleft echochamber nonsense. For a TRUE-Left video see my google video entry called "White Slavery in Colonial America".

Very pompous comment. You managed to slag this mild mannered video, slag metafilter and all of it's users and pimp your own video all in one short post.

Oil companies are ... ( 11 months ago by pyork2007)
Oil companies are still employing propagandanists to deny climate change. And car companies, as we all know, are still producing propaganda to sell oil-consuming machines we don't really need. Exxon Mobil is guilyt of the murder of the planet, a crime as evil as the Holocaust, but much greater in scope. The Iraq war is over oil, and all wars use oil.

They will milk the profits until the very last drop, and we all suffer. I hope someone discovers a new fuel source fast, and put these companies out of business. Beside, America can't depend on a bunch of terrorist states and greedy companies for fuel.

Global Warming, ... ( 1 month ago by SmokingPhoenix85)
Global Warming, witch I belive is happening. Is not caused by CO2. If you know ennything about the theme, you would also know better. Maybe you should look into it yourself and I can give you a hint ;) Something called GEOLOGY witch gives over 500 times more information about our climate then HYDROLOGY. Hydrology witch is the only foundation for IPCC's report on cause of global warming.
The companies are ... ( 1 week ago by nzalud2)
The companies are not greedy. They have not always made money either. They are successful at what they do. If there were more refineries to produce the gasoline from oil, then more gasoline would be on the market. Currently, we consume more oil than we can physically produce. If someone discovers, and is able to manufacture mass amounts of an alternative fuel and transportation source, then they might start making a lot of money themselves.
