The 2007 Walker County (Texas) Fair rodeo included steer busting, the most cruel and deadly event in rodeo. Nonaggressive steers were roped, slammed and dragged, and numerous animals were injured.
Rodeo thugs are being outed for animal abuse more and more, so these criminals are starting to turn their violence on those who expose them. One individual was so low as to assault a woman.

Right. City slickers who believe that abuse is wrong have never traveled. Sorry, Cletus but driving 10 miles to the local rodeo isn't traveling. People who are smart enough to recognize abuse are obviously much more cultured and learned that you are.
I hope that someday you will find someone who will "treaty" you with love. The world doesn't have to be full of pain and hatred. I hope that someday you learn that for yourself. Til then stay away from animals. They don't need your hate.

I dont think you need all the sensationalizing. Let the video speak for itself and stop with all the commentary. rodeos are about money and people trying to relive "the old cowboy days". What you all may not know is that on a real working ranch we value our livestock and wouldnt dream of hurting them. Yes we rope our cows to doctor them but in a gentle manner. Our cows are our livlihood which is why we give them vaccinations, tend to injuries, get them good feed and plenty of water.

sharonmaster: If you watch SHARK's videos, you will find that our consistent position is that rodeos do NOT accurately depict ranch work. Of course real ranchers carefully rope their animals, or they'd have few left. Rodeos don't represent either the old or the new Western US of A.

Great video. It shows the reality of the cowardice of this sport. Big burly men throwing animals around, injuring and killing them just for fun. I'm a slight woman and have encountered a cowboy inside a ring while protesting the rodeo. His buddy pinned me down while he kicked mud into my face and laughed. These men have so much hatred towards those who are weaker than them. They need therapy, not the rodeo.
