I think asking the question is perhaps more important than recieving the answer, rather than blind faith.

the message here is that you're not spiritually fulfilled because you don't follow kabbalah. whatever anyone says it uses, just like all other belief systems,
the concept of attaining a higher spiritual status than the next man if you take it up. it's a bit like when that invite for a gold card comes through your door and they tell you "hey you're better than the next guy, you should have one of these"

Yup. thats soo true, it's their EGO!
EGO=DESIRE TO RECIVE=DEATH Michael Berg
I dont understand how any1 can call Kabbalah "Devil Worship" That's the TOTAL opposite.
Ignorance is a horrible thing.

well I think that Berg's stuff is just commercial exploitation of the wisdom of kabbalah, they just sell what people like to buy, don't even study original sources;
kabbalist Michael Laitman met Berg's kabbalah teachers in 80s, he was surprised by what they teach in their group. in addition - he gave them several lessons and then lots of the berg teachers migrated to laitman's teacher Baruch Ashlag.

in kabbala you examine and experience yourself - it has nothing to do with blind faith - asking the question is important - but what's the point if you don't look for the answer?

I didn't imply that Kaballah had anything to do with blind faith, exactly the opposite, why would you ask any questions at all if you were blindly following faith?
Asking the question IS looking for the answer but it isn't guaranteed or even likely that you will receive the answer.
I hope that clears up the confusion.
Peace.

Peace. confusion cleared :)
i said it because of this comment: "I think asking the question is perhaps more important than receiving the answer, rather than blind faith."
what i mean is, why ask if you do not hope to receive the answer? receiving the answer is the whole point of asking the question as far as i'm concerned, so how can question be more important when the question is just the means of getting the answer

Have you ever gone somewhere and the journey has turned out to be the most memorable, exciting or fun part of the experience? Maybe you met someone on a train or stumbled on a shop that sells just the thing you needed.
Nobody has the answer to the question of life, "Why are we here?", yet many pe ople ask it and the answer is the goal, but the journey is where all their knowledge comes from.

thank you for the answer - i really like the way you put it - and it is true - the process of finding this answer is a most thrilling experience - but i wonder why you say that nobody has the answer - I mean - we might not be capable of imagining what the destination will be like - but isn't the answer to the sense of life - just knowing the direction in which to move - we know what we strive for

thats well put also. but like trying to describe a new emotion, finding out the truth and the answer will only be for you and cant be shared with anyone. part of the beuty of finding it for your self. "seek and you shall find..."

i agree partly :) on the one hand yes, the whole beauty is understanding it for yourself on the other i think we can help others find it, not find for them, and we can tell somebody who has not found it yet that there is the answer, if they ask of course
where im coming ...( 5 days ago by L1lzk)
where im coming from is that i was trying to make sense of life and this world so started searching. i obtained a couple principles of kabbalah without knowing that kabblah even existed. i am so new at this but i have such an awsome new view on life but i cant seem to have even my most open minded christian friends understand me.

great to know there is one more person on the search for truth lol :) welcome - i guess misunderstanding could be quite hard to cope with sometimes, but some understand before others do - For me it was pretty difficult just to accept how much others are willing to understand at the moment, and take them as they are, not trying to change them or be condescending

I would like to have my friends change but I meant I cant even get through to them with what Im going through. I cant completely identify what it takes and where to start for them to change so Im not leaning on that subject for now. Instructor Tony Kosinec says that you cant here the answer even if it screams at you, you must be seeking it. I was searching for it because I couldnt find it at my church. So Im worried, how do I get my friends to seek the truth?

personal example and giving attitude (attempts :P) work best as far as my experience goes but if somebody doesn't want an answer what on earth can you tell him? I had a friend who'd found answer long before me and she wanted nothing more than share it with her parents and friends, only when she died unexpectedly they started to look for one. ??? just giving information, TV programs n films n social games where you get to discuss things, like sense of life etc. preparing the soil :) try things...
