During a recent trip to the Galapagos with the Center for Inquiry, Richard Dawkins gave a reading of his new preface to the paperback edition of The God Delusion along with a Q &A session that followed. The event took place in the ship's bar salon area.

thekure42: I did not state or imply that I thought it was a person. My personal opinion is that it was God, but this conclusion is met only after reasoning through the first cause and first mover proofs. There are other answers to the first cause proof, but logic demonstrates that to accept a being that exists outside of the boundaries of time inevitably leads to the conclusion of a creator or a basic understanding of a God (which God is another matter).
