I grow up with Deng Li Jun's song, even in mainland China her song was banned for a long time, but no one can stop people's desire for her beautiful voice. In the past we sneakily listen to her songs-her songs are talking about real life, real love. Now we have so many pop music around, but her songs are always the most touching our heart for the good old days and her beautiful soul.

In 1979, I went to a University in Wuhan, China. A classmate was from Hong Kong. He brought a small tape recorder and many of Teresa's lovely songs. We were so fascinated by the lyric, music and tape recorder. They opened our heart and mind. We learned to sing her songs. The political advisor from the school later found out that we were listening and singing her songs. We all got into the troubles and the tapes were confiscated. After almost 30 years, Teresa is still my only favorite singer.
