La traviata is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi set to an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. It takes as its basis the novel La dame aux Cam
élias by Alexandre Dumas, fils, published in 1848. This piece of music, the prelude of La traviata, is my favorite. I made this clip with the works I so love by a British artist Mr. Mackenzie Thorpe http://mackenziethorpe.net/ .

Ah, very true! The opera is a tragic one while those pictures represent hope. I guess when I made the clip, the music in mind was simply beautiful; I did not associate it with the story behind it.

Actually, what will be in the Twilight soundtrack will be "Libiamo ne'lieti calici" from "La Traviata". This is the overture. Still, though, this is just as great. :D
