Former Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry interviews a protester outside of Madison Square Garden during a rally at the Republican National Convention in New York. He proceeds to totally piss her off when he asks her "if homosexuals will finally have the right to vote" and that he is "embedded with the delegates" at the convention. He also doesn't like the puppets.

I am surprised that the woman was upset about the interview. The daily show is in fact serious new reporting. They are not just out there being just funny as SNL or Mad TV.

The whole show is about making fun of people, usually conservative politicians and their supporters whom, I have no doubt, are regarded by the show's hosts and writers as rubes through and through. But while we're on the subject, which parts DID you like, the commercials?

i agree. she apparently does not know what satire is, and REALLY needs to get a sense of humor. So called "serious activists", or people that tend to take themselves too seriously in general, are a joke, in and of themselves.

Satire or not, it's highly unlikely that everyone would favour the path of conversation in order to suit the format of a show, especially when the conversation becomes a mockery of their protests.
Although when she came back, I did find it a little excessive, I can certainly understand her reaction.
