This is just my video and response to the tragedy of Sophie Lancaster, and the discrimination of ANYONE. I give just about all the credit to laurelli and Shadow Slaughter for helping to open mine and everyone else's eyes to wtf is going on!!!

It's revolting. It made me ill knowing that in my country my life is endangered because of the way I choose to express myself through my appearance. The police and press tend to not bother about it so much because it's "wooly"- they choose to dress that way, they have it coming. It's absolutely disgusting. Completely disgusting.

I am doing a documentary about attacks on the 'alternative' community and how unjust they are. Loosly based around the Sophie Lancaster case, I looked into this issue and realised that it is a big issue.

All 5 of the people who attacked Sophie Lancaster and Robert Maltby, should have got life in prison or electric chair. 3 got off easy only 4 to 5 years or so in jail. That is rediculous. The guy who almost killed Monica Seles only got 6 months in jail. Rediculous.

Great video,i completly agree with what you say. It happen 200 yards away from my home, my young kids play in the park were the murder happened.
I unfortunatley know the families of the two murderous shitbags, You cant breed Race horse out of a pit pony, the families have to take some of the blame for what their off-spring have done
i hope the good people of Bacup drive these filth out of our neighbour-hood

Im living in England at the moment. I've been assualted like this. I know that this is only the beginning in England. There are gangs in my neighbourhood who search for goths with metal bars and weapons. I have been spat on assaulted jsut because i had long hair and a guitar on my back. One of my friends had 3 ribs broken by a gang and another had his skull fractured by a brick that was hurled at his head. You're right, this is sick and i will fight for the rights of all who are with me.

I'm from a supposedly quiet little town in Ireland. Around here i'm seen as "emo" because of how i dress and what music i listen to. Me and my friends have had horrible things shouted at us, and we've had bottles thrown at us in the streets. What did we do to these people to deserve this? Your guess is as good as mine. What's with all the hatred? Why is being different such a crime?

it makes me sick to -.- just cuz people dress how they dress doesnt mean their bad people and "normal" people think just cuz we r goth,punk,etc. they think we r bad people im goth/punk/industrial and im friends with gangsters,preps,etc.

Are you talking about just the American media when you say that it's only "normal" people who the press seem to care about? Because over here I think they were appropriately sickened by what happened to Sophie and Rob and it got a lot of coverage on the news.

U speak truth. Im Irish. Us & the Brits get the same news, read the same papers, watch the same channels. This wasnt covered in any significant way. Prejudice is the only conclusion I can come to. The whole tragedy of Sophie Lancaster smacks of what happened to Brian Deneke in Amarillo in '97. It took Dropkick Murphys, Ethan Daniel Davidson & peeps from Misfits writing songs to alert the world what happened there.
Only thing "WE" can do is offer some level of kinship to the "different" people
