pete nice ran a radio show in college. and met daddy rich, then mc serch. and soon became 3rd bass. this was back when hip hop was still real. Pete Nice and MC Serch can not be compared. They are two different people, that were raised different. Pete Nice took time and wrote rhymes on paper, MC Serch basically freestyled. Pete Nice was laid back, swift, cool. MC Serch was a crazy guy, dancin and shit. I like both of them. But Pete Nice kept it real, in any type of crowd. Serch, would act different around different people. Pete Nice was on a different level.

Although Search was clearly the more talented emcee as for as overall skill sets,Pete's solo album,with it's much more murky,dusted brand of hip hop,was 10 times better than Serch's solo joint(what Pete lacked in skills,he made up in edgyness).While Search's album would feature underground talents such as Nas,Chubb Rock & Red Hot Lover Tone,Pete even went deeper into the NY underground & would introduce the the world to Kurious,The Dred Knots & Def Jux star,Cage.
