I haven't played a TSL so I can't compare the two. On the DSL I have two lead channels, and both sound really different. I use the 1st lead channel, which is described as a JCM800 with the gain mod. (think 80's metal) It wasn't enough gain for me and felt too stiff, so what I have been doing is boosting my signal and some of my mids with a 10 band EQ. Now both my marshall and my 5150 sing. I've been meaning to put up a new clip. I'm very happy with my new sound now, more ballsy than these clips.
