A lot of Rory stuff sounds like Robert Johnson to me. Gallagher is the only one I have heard that has really touched on Johnson in my opinion. He has that same sort of creepy sound Johnson always had in his music.

Can anybody tell me how did he tuned his gutar???He re tuned the 1st E string and G, I think.I have tried various combinations and did not sound good.

Rory is a Legend, he is not "underrated" neither Roy Buchanan is! Rory has his own tribute stratocaster made by Fender and Roy was the influense of many great guitarists incl, Santana, Gary Moore etc. Rory is just a low profile, nice guy type, that's why some people "feel" that he deserves more puplicity nowadays

Ah, classic Rory acoustic. Is there any musician more genuinely charming? I think not. He is certainly a legend, misternogreco, as is Buchanan. They both were under-promoted -- or mis-promoted -- during their heyday. And, sadly, both came to tragic ends. Truly blues guys.
