My take on it is that davey calls jade, says something to the effect of being suicidal (AKA the bridge, lol) So they haul ass to get to him before he dies/jumps,but they wreck and possibly die in a firey metal casket. And Davey changes his mind about the whole thing and decides not to jump. Irony. haha

I think that Davey does commit suicide. He drops his watch and watches the splash. Then he drops his ring and watches the splash. Then Davey pulls his hair back, and the vid shows the band and then a larger splash than the watch and the ring made. I see that as when Davey pulled his hair back, he jumps. The rest of the video is just Davey's ghost. Notice how nobody respondes to Davey just walking calmly away from the car fire?

I see it like this. Davey's life had been messed up. SO therefore, he was suposed to meet the band a the Pub. But intstead of doing so, he would rather kill himself. SO he calls Jade and explains, and the friendship prevails, and they run to him; Then drive. But within this oath of friendship the band (apperently) Died; And or started to burn, in the Metal Casket. And before Davey jumps, he finds out the band is dead. Then, before he jumps. He calmly walks away. Because he knows he life is done.

While the band hurries to stop him, Davey drops his watch, seeing how long the drop is and how far. The band is not fast enough, and Davey jumps. The rest of the video, Davey is a ghost. As the band finally gets there, they crash into a truck and their car explodes. Davey's ghost walks away.
