Hmm, just reading the comments. I just wanted to mention how respectful Eddie Van Halen was behaving, he didn't stand out at all and bought no attention onto himself - a classy move on his part I think. At the same time Sammy Hagar shoved his beak in as much as possible. I dunno, I guess it's like Leslie West was the guest but don't forget it's the Sammy Hagar show. Maybe the things Eddie said about Sammy were true. Anyway forget that stuff, Leslie West still has some great modern blues albums.

Oh yeah... I agree totally. Eddie was truly stoked to have Leslie on stage. Everyone in Van Halen was, that was obvious. Sammy's ego precedes himself no doubt, but Sammy and Leslie go way back. Leslie was just as powerful on mic as Sammy, and on guitar well, NOONE shows up Leslie's axe on stage. Leslie will tell you speed is not his bag. Its his tone and vibrato that are just undeniable. Noone sounds better than Leslie on axe, ya just have to let him go... and Eddie had a blast just jammin

man, leslie west is the guy. he was randy rhoads favourite guitarist (and thats saying ALOT). But during his bout with addiction, Eddie inspired HIM to pick up guitar again. man, rock n' roll has some awesome stories. unlike rap, where every story ends with "...and then he got shot."
