If you all like this movie, you should watch "Return to Paradise". It stars Vince Vaughn (back in the day), Joaquin Phoenix, and Anne Heche. It is a very good movie and similar to Brokedown Palace in the sense that it deals with an American being jailed in Malaysia and his friends' and sister's attempts to save him.
