I love the way Orson keeps blowing cigar smoke into Parkinson eyes.
I agree with him ...( 1 year ago by matt7333)
I agree with him when he said great stars don't exist any more. Certainly in the early 70's it looked that way.

Good observation vis a vis pop stars vs movie stars.... maybe he'd freak if he saw sports stars...

I think he must have had some contempt for popular culture tho'. I think there is some reflection of that in the content of the films he made.

Amazing interview. Just watching Citizen Kane you see it all invented. How truly the few are whom we remember, and even less that deserve it.

Interesting regarding the talk about Hollywood's "golden age". This is 1974, many would now consider that to be in the middle of a Hollywood golden age. Wonder what Orson thought of the new Hollywood cinema.

I can listen to Mr. Orson Welles all day, every single thing he does is genies, but I'm sure if Orson Welles was sitting on YouTube right now, still alive, and reading my comment what I just wrote, he would probably write a harsh comment on what I just wrote, but I still love the guy

Especially about your name. Peter Sellers played Dr. Strangelove. And he loathed Peter Sellers.

Orson was a great talent! You know, I saw the making of "It's All True." Fascinating...he believed he was cursed by natives. I think it affected him for the rest of his life, although I can't say for sure. I wonder what he'd think of Hollywood in 2008.
