5:30 - 7:++ was epic lol... i have a question to fellow guitarists out there.. are solos just made up of scales... and arpegios.. is there any circumstances where the notes sound good even though they dont belong to the same scale
Yes. Art is about ...( 1 week ago by thefew)
Yes. Art is about breaking rules, but you have to know them before you break them. The best start at the beginning with simple, go to the top, and come come back to simple. Learn your scales and chords, and, most importantly, listen to as many musicians you can and concentrate on getting to their level then move on. There is only one path to greatness, and there aren't any shortcuts- John Mayer got good the same way Hendrix and Stevie did- practice your fucking ass off.
Tones sound ...( 1 week ago by en4sm8zn7g8)
Tones sound different in a chord because of their realtion to the chord. Each tone has its own sound when related to a chord. If it sound good depends on how you define "good". If you mean non-dissonant tones are "good" tones then you should not emphasize other tones than the tones in the chord. This is a very hard question to answer for me in english but i hope it helped.
TNX that helped me ...( 6 days ago by Json34B)
TNX that helped me lol, but i know my scales already i just have to memorize every note in each scale particularly the major and minor scale, and i know how to get them but let see.. thats like 7 scales ... x2.. 14... plus i still have to memorize like all notes in the fretboard and i can't do it.. can u give me some advice on how to memorize all the notes (i just started this music theory thing like maybe last 2 weeks... like the whole music theory like how to make a chord, scales, and stuff

i cant describe how much i love this song. and hes different from some guitarists when u feel ur playing it sounds so much better thats all i have 2 say
I think he's ...( 5 days ago by wolfpackfan1985)
I think he's hitting the B string, hammering, hitting the E string, and hammering again. That would give you 4 notes if you hammer the same fret. And of course, he could be hammering different frets, but I don't think he is.
Well, to start off. ...( 5 days ago by wolfpackfan1985)
Well, to start off... the notes in a scale aren't the only notes appropriate to play. For example, you could be soloing in C-major (CDEFGAB) and throw in an Eb (the 3rd of C-minor) and get a good sound. There are all sorts of music theory terms to describe what is/isn't "appropriate" to play.
When you feel comfortable with the most common chords, you might want to investigate what are called "modes". These are basically where you play in a key, but use a different root. And I'm out of space...
by modes do u mean ...( 4 days ago by Json34B)
by modes do u mean like lets say the key of the song is C... and you play in like a G scale and still sounds good since G major scale has only like 1 or 2 different notes from C?.. idk lol i hate how you run out of space lol
If you play a C ...( 3 days ago by MUSICALCHIMP)
If you play a C major chord, then play a scale over it with the notes of G, that'd be C lydian. C D E F# G A B C.
amazing.
:) I was just wondering. And great song by the way.
