Have you ever played this game before? Chun li is not a character that jumps. if you paid close attention, you'd notice that chun jumps at 1:01 and paid for it with her life. At high levels, jumping in 3s is usually the sign of a desperate player.

Yes and no. Some characters have weak jump tactics in this game (eg. Chun-Li, Elena, Sean) while others can and need to jump a lot (eg. Makoto, Ibuki, Dudley, Yun, Alex, Necro, Oro). Chun-Li should not be jumping much against Hugo because her ground game is so dominant.

hugo did the 360 motion during a clap, then walked forward and did a second 360 motion. This resulted in a 720. This is not what the previous poster implied.

I used to also but just like KF says if you find a move that 720 character (Hugo, Zangief, Birdie, etc) has that involves a heavy lengthened blow and keeps you close to them you can input all of those commands during it. Just takes a little practice.

The motion isn't a perfect circle; when you're facing right, you do a half-circle back and then a sharper, almost straight line towards upper-right. And don't do it too fast -- make sure you start from right, not lower-right. For training, I'd set your game to Maximum super meter and play through Arcade Mode that way so that you learn the motion as well as when to safely do it within a fight, but don't have to build up the super meter.

It's called "Buffering". Go into the training mode, do normal/command moves ("button presses"), then practice your set-ups so you pull the 360 or 720 motion during another attack. Sounds simple, but it's not. like UltraTurboJack says, if you have moves that have a long animation to them AND keep you close to your opponent, practice the motion until you can do it any time, any where. THEN you'll be unstoppable!
