ummm yeah... first you inspect equipment... maybe even a couple of tugs on it for shits and giggles, you strap your self up, make sure the straps are secure... if some one is there with you (as this was the case) ask them to check the straps too... a second opinion never hurts, falling down 5 stories does, finally make sure that your harness is actually hooked on to something.... now after all visual inspections are complete then you climb out of the window... not before!!.

always remember, if the harness does not look like "In Brand New" condition, it may not be safe to put it on. nicks and cuts on it are a NO NO... damage in the stitches is a sign of having been involved in a fall before and the harness put back in use... never use a harness thats been involved in a fall.
that duck tape looking devise slows down the fall, is easily tested by some one firmly holding it and the person wearing the harness walks away, if you freely walk away, something is not right.

you dont know me, i cant speak the languages but i know the difference... its like english and french... mandarin accents and japanese accents are different, and the wording in both languages are opposite. mandarin wording is alot shorter, japanese have longer and sharper wording. like mandarin 'hello' is "ni hao", but japanese 'good morning' is "Ohaiyogozaimasu". also i worked in a chinese restuarant for a few months. so yeah what was you saying?
