Ever read "The Hipster's Handbook" by Rabert Lanham? It has great descriptions of various hipster habits, including a glossary. If you're looking for more than just hipsters, try "Food Court Druids, Cherohonkees, and Other Creatures Unique to the Republic" by Robert Lanham; it's even better than the handbook.

The handbook is pretty good, but a little out dated and specific to certain areas. Funny thing is the school that got the highest hipster rating was in my home town, Evergreen, sad stuff.

The joke though was more around the irony of terrible facial hair rather than being able to grow a mustache on command, so I think in that respect it was way different than the Stella short, and well, the armpit hair made it.

Facial hair can be ironic when, for example, a young, boyish hipster grows a bushy moustache. The moustache is ironic because it looks like it belongs on a 1970's pornstar, not a skinny art student.
