Fox News took a Daily Show critique about how Bush foreign policy is overstretching the resources of the US military and turned it into a clip about how it would be funny if old people were in the army.
This video is another example of how Fox News always seems to edit for time in a way that makes Democrats look worse and Bush and the GOP look better. You can see the entire August 3, 2006, broadcast of "The Daily Show" from which I took a clip for my video on the Comedy Central website at: http:

What is sad is that there is so many young idiots that consider a friggin' comedy show like the Daily Show to be serious in the first place. It is not meant to be taken seriously. It is not meant to be a source of news.

Perfect example of why the daily show is a better source of news than fox...There was more "funny" news that was real in the daily show than there was blatant propaganda that wasn't even entertaining on fox news...
Jon Stewart has ... ( 1 week ago by PAMuffinMan)
Jon Stewart has said it himself that he finds it ridiculous that he and Stephen Colbert are some of the only reliable news sources and they're a comedy show. They don't pretend to be a news show. They've actually BECOME a news show.
Actually, yes. ( 1 week ago by PAMuffinMan)

hahaa. they're not ... ( 5 days ago by brothermoon)
hahaa. they're not news. they satire the news with a liberal left leaning and conveniently omit facts or details to fit their ideology. people with brains recognize that john stewart and stephen colbert are such funny court jesters and provide us with such great comedy and satire, truly unrelated to truth or any valid rational point of view. keep up the superficial entertainment guys - we need good laughs!
You should really ... ( 5 days ago by brothermoon)
You should really get over your obsession with Fox, liberalviewer. Go outside and breathe some fresh air. Fox news used a piece of the Daily Show for their own message of comedy. Were they reporting on the message of the Daily Show? A reasonable person would say no. Fox does some stupid things, as does any network. Bottom line - Be an independent thinker and don't simply swallow anyone's message without critical thinking. Fox, MSNBC, CNN, Daily Show, Colbert Report, etc etc.
that's the problem ... ( 5 days ago by bng44270)
that's the problem. He's a freaking comedian. It isn't Fox News' fault if a lot of wacko liberals take him seriously.
You don't seem to ... ( 5 days ago by PAMuffinMan)
You don't seem to get it. The Daily Show and the Colbert Report, despite being comedy shows, tell the news. They make jokes about it, but it's the actual news. Usually with the balls to post a politician saying the exact opposite months prior to a given date and going back on their word. THIS is what makes them a viable news source.
So because I think ... ( 5 days ago by PAMuffinMan)
So because I think Daily Show and Colbert Report are more than just "lol he sed penis" I'm automatically a tool who doesn't think critically?
not really.. they ... ( 5 days ago by brothermoon)
not really.. they tell a snippet of the news, but omit facts and add exaggeration and embellishment in order to create satire which falls in line with their left leaning ideology. that's hardly what a reasonable person would consider a viable news source. stewart makes this point himself.
how did you get ... ( 5 days ago by brothermoon)
how did you get THAT from what i wrote? both shows are intelligent and require the viewer to use their brain to get the humor, but they are far from reliable and viable news sources because of their intentional comical editing of the news and altering details or facts to fit their left leaning satire. many people who watch these shows use a variety of news sources for their information. my point was that with any news and network we need to think independently and critically.
if you actually ... ( 5 days ago by brothermoon)
if you actually believe this, stewart himself would rebuke you. the daily show isn't true, accurate, reliable, complete news. it's been highly edited with omissions, inaccuracies, and embellishments, which then provides a basis for comedy using satire and commentary from a left leaning ideology. even the guests are interrupted and snippeted for the humorous ridicule of those holding different views than stewart.

it is a bit too much to be a coincidence, but fox is a news station, and they would lose lot's of credibility (and air time) if thet were to show the whole jon stewart story. Still, it's not a coincidence that the part they edited out was the part that was most anti-bush.
thanks a lot, your videos rock
