The individual flaws or shortcomings of Dr. King, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington are irrelevant when placed against the backdrop of their ideas and message. That is why we donate on January 21st, 2008- Martin Luther King Day- not to commemorate a man whose greatness can be
debated or argued, but to commemorate the truly GREAT ideas that this man preached, and those that preceded him, preached. Always remember- "ideas are bulletproof"

I like your comment about symbols & idolatry, "Dr. King is a symbol at this point, to focus on the flaws or qualities of the symbols is to engage in idolatry," true that. People can have flaws and still do great things with there lives, we are only human. I don't care what Ron Paul said ten years ago, I care about policies for freedom.

I think we need to remember that Ron Paul is not the message, the message is Liberty, Peace and Prosperity. We can not quit on November or 2008. Ron Paul may win, and Ron Paul may loose. But if we quit at any point, WE THE PEOPLE loose.

Good video. People can feel and think what they want but as for me Martin Luther King is an inspiration and an American hero. I just think of the hope and optimism he gave to many black Americans in that time of our history. And hope for the white people who wanted equal justice for their fellow men that they witnessed suffering.

Ron Paul is also an American hero in my mind. His message to us in this day in age is a wake up call to preserve the rights and freedoms we have and to not take them for granted. Pride goes before a downfall, and we shouldn't become so prideful and arrogant that we let our rights and freedoms slip away. We should also consider people in other countries and how they feel about us occupying their land and causing them to sell out their national sovereignty.
