Rare film of Gershwin performing I Got Rhythm at the opening of the Manhattan Theatre in New York in August 1931 (movie courtesy Edward Jablonski).
Please note there is occasional film slippage which causes a slight hiccup to the rhythm in a couple of places. Also when the camera angle changes half way through this clip the sound pitch also changes as the two cameras were not running at the same speed (the film has been edited, repeating the
last line of the song from the first camera shot for the beginning of the second camera shot to help disguise the sudden change of pitch).
