It was ridiculous that Jimmy Cliff did not become a Global Superstar after this film came out. He was a great writer a fantastic vocalist and a bloody good actor.
I am pleased he has a bit of a renaissance in the past few years.

Jimmy is a true icon, and great artist! Saw him in 68, before his suicide attempt! He blew me away with his energy and mix of soul and rock steady! Sweat all over the stage floor, i picked up one of his tissues and wiped up more sweat and kept it for several years, lol!
